Client: Beiersdorf – NIVEA Sun
Creative: Garry Horner and Matt Kemsley
Brief: To revitalise NIVEA Sun and make it more relevant to its target audience by re-engaging the consumers with a unique and involving point of difference.

“This ad is so Aussie it’s not funny” and “It makes you wish that school was out so you could jump in the car with some mates, and head to the nearest beach” wrote B&T of its Pick of the Week.

The campaign positions the NIVEA Sun brand as an expert on life in the Australian sun, giving consumers the freedom to make the most of their outdoor lifestyle. A shimmering heat haze helped visualise the harmful effects of the Australian sun, reminding them that NIVEA Sun is there to protect you no matter what you’re up to.

This was the first NIVEA Sun campaign ever developed locally. It ran across outdoor media and television.
